Sibu Beauty Face and Body Bar Review

I love the idea of natural skin care products. So when I had the chance to try Sibu Beauty's Face and Body Bar I was beyond thrilled!

Sibu Beauty is a skincare company that was founded in 2003 by Bruce McMullin. He found out about Sea Buckthorn when he met an ayurvedic specialist in Chinese plants and herbs.

Sea Buckthorn is known as the "Holy Fruit of the Himalayas". It has over 190 bioactive compounds and is a source of Omega 3, 6, and 9. It also has Omega 7 which is great for healthy hair, skin, and nails.

• Cleans and Conditions Skin
• Natural Astringent
• Revitalizes Skin Cells
• For all skin types
• 100% Natural
• Inhibits Bacterial Growth
• Promotes Tissue Recovery
• Cruelty Free

I've been using the Face and Body Bar for a couple of weeks now and I have noticed a difference in my skin. Since I've been doing a good bit of running and working out I noticed my face was breaking out. This bar has definitely helped with the breakouts, while they are not completely gone, most of them are. I also used this on my chest area since I seem to get eczema there. I've noticed it's not itchy or dry after using Sibu Beauty's bar.

The face and body bar has tiny little black seeds, which I would guess are the Sea Buckthorn. I have sensitive skin and I don't even notice them while washing my skin. It also lathers up nice and thick which makes me feel cleaner. It has a pleasant light scent that I want to call citrus-y but I would think the scent is that of the Sea Buckthorn.

Overall I really like this face and body bar! It keeps my skin feeling and clean and doesn't dry it out. Which is a definite plus, because who seriously wants to walk around with flaky skin? I really like that they are Cruelty Free as well!

You can purchase Sibu Beauty's Face and Body Bar for $6.95! It is kind of pricey for one bar of soap but I think it is definitely worth it.

Stay Connected with Sibu Beauty!

L'oreal Feria Deep Burgundy Review

It's been a while since I last dyed my hair. I was at walmart a few days ago and decided to check out the hair dye isle. I decided to go with L'oreal Feria in Deep Burgundy instead of what I normally went for which was L'oreak Feria Light Auburn Black. I love having a tint of red in my hair, so I figured why not try something a little bit different.

I really like using L'oreal Paris Feria brand because I haven't had any bad results from it like I have other brands.

This box comes with everything that you need in order to dye your hair. It had quite a few steps that I didn't need when I dyed my hair the Light Auburn Black. This one has a color booster and a conditioning shampoo added in the box.

The dyeing process was extremely easy, but also very messy! This is the first time I dyed my hair without anyone to help me. I honestly would suggest having someone help because it makes it less messy. I took a shower when I washes this out and it looked like a scene from a horror movie! But it was much easier to clean up.

As you can see my roots are really red in the sunlight and my ends are a little darker, but honestly I really like it. I haven't noticed any damage from the dye other than my split ends that I already had going on from using too much heat on my hair. My hair actually feels not as dried out after dying it, which is kind of weird, but I won't complain! I'll update on the fading, hopefully it won't fade into some horrible orange shade.

Too Faced Better than false lashes : Review

I've used many different brands of mascaras. All of which had different results and for the most part I know what brand works for me and usually just stick with it. I saw Too Faced has a product called 'Better than False Lashes'. So I had to try it! I mean who doesn't want longer, thicker looking eyelashes?
What Too Faced Cosmetics says about it: It's not a mascara, it's a miracle! This do-it-yourself lash extension system allows you to achieve the dramatic impact of false lashes AND the extreme length of lash extensions without the hassle, cost or commitment.

This is a simple 3 step system. Prime, Build, and Seal.
Step one: Apply the activating mascara to create a base for the nylon to adhere.

Step two: Apply 1 - 2 coats of the nylon fibers to build volume and length.

Step three: Finish by sealing the fibers with the activating mascara to create "Better than false lashes" look.

The application was extremely easy! But I had a few issues with this product.

I found when applying the activating mascara that it made my eyelashes extremely sticky. Especially if you put it on your lower lashes as well, making your eyelashes stick together. Even if you didn't put it on the bottom I found it would sometimes still stick to them.

I had to be careful with the Nylon fibers. If your not cautious you get them in your eye and thats not the greatest feeling.

I didn't get the dramatic look I was hoping for. This product definitely made my lashes a little longer but as for volume, I didn't see that. It also was quite clumpy looking and the fall out was pretty bad. Nothing like walking around with black specks under your eyes!

I also tried using one of my other mascaras from a different brand and I felt like it did a better job when not using the mascara that came with this. With using a different brand I still didn't see much difference in volume though.

Overall, I don't think I can recommend this to anyone. What works for one, doesn't work for all. I feel this product is good for lengthening and that's about it. For the price I feel like I can find cheaper alternatives. I wanted to love this, but I can't.

You can find Too Faced Better than False Lashes for $35 at UltaSephora, and Too Faced.

Covergirl Blast Flipstick Review

I'm sure by now most of you have at least walked by a display of Covergirl's Blast Flipsticks. I was quite intrigued with the idea of the flipsticks when I saw them.

Covergirl designed theses so you could go from day to night, soft to bright with their duo's. Creamy/matte on one side and shimmery on the other.

I love the idea of having two lipsticks that you can either wear alone or blend them together for three separate looks. But for me it's almost pointless as I doubt I'll ever wear two lipsticks together.

The formula of these are less than stellar to be honest. I found the that they can be pretty drying too, so it's definitely best to apply some sort or moisturizing lip balm before using these. They felt a tad cakey as well, which looks horrible if your lips are chapped.

The colors I have are:
Vixen - Dark Pinkish/Red color with a light Pink shimmer
Stunner - Matte Red with Orange shimmer
Minx - Matte Brown with Gold shimmer

I feel like the colors looks great on my arm, but these color combinations looks horrible on me. I'm more into neutral colors. Bolds are just not my thing. They also had a strong fragrance smell as well which was a bit of a turn off.

Also the color combinations of the Flipsticks in my opinion are horrible. This was a great idea just could have been done better.

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor Review

This is my second review from my Love VoxBox from Influenster

My first impression of this razor is the packaging was kind of bulky. The packaging was super easy to open though, which is nice! I always hate trying to get a packaged opened and it doesn't want to. I like that it came with a holder to stick in your shower to keep the bars from staying wet from laying it down. The razor itself is a pretty color and reminded me of spring. It also seems pretty sturdy.

The Product Details
  • Venus’ five-bladed razors shave you close and adjust to women’s curves for a smooth and comfortable shave, even over tricky shaving areas like knees and ankles.
  • Olay Moisture Bars contain skin-enhancing elements found in Olay products: Petrolatum helps lock in skin’s moisture for less dryness and Glycerin helps offer that goddess glow! Just wet the razor to release a light lather – no separate shave cream required.
  • As with most Venus razors, new Venus & Olay also features a rounded, pivoting head designed for women’s curves, and a soft-grip ergonomic handle for confident control, even in wet and soapy environment

My thoughts:

Pros: The moisture Olay bars are amazing. You don't need any shaving cream and your legs are left feeling silky smooth. The blades gave me a close shave without the nicks and cuts! This says a lot to me since I always seem to get a little cut every time I shave but, with this razor I didn't have any. This razor is super easy to use and I noticed it didn't take quite as long to shave with this razor than what I normally use. The blades are still sharp even after using it a lot.

Cons: The moisture Olay bars seem to disappear pretty fast. So if you fall in love with the razor it could become a tad pricey with the refills.

A refillable Venus & Olay with one replacement cartridge sells for approximately $8.99-$10.99. Packages of three replacement cartridges are available for about $14.99 - $19.49.

Kiss Nail Dress Review

So as you know from my last post, I received this Kiss Nail Dress to try out via Influenster. I was very excited to try these out because It looked like such an easy way to do your nails without the hassle of trying to do nail art yourself. And if your like me, Nail art is super hard to do.

I received the design "Bodysuit". I really liked the design, I'm a fan of leopard print.

The Claims :
No drying time
Just peel, apply, and shape
Lasts up to ten days

From the claims alone this sounds amazing! I used these on my nails and then two on my toes along with two on my three year old toes. (She just loves having her toes painted and wanted me to put these on her too!) They were pretty easy to apply. The only thing I would probably change up about applying them would to be instead of folding the sticker down to file off, If you've got short stubby nails like I do, I would probably take scissors and cut it first then file it down. I found that trying to file it while fold down it ruined the other end that could be used for a toe or a different nail.

I started back up with my normal routine and these lasted on my nails for about 5 days. Once I noticed the lifting on one of my nails I couldn't stand it and just took them off. Removing them is pretty simple and it wasn't harsh on my nails. Being a mom, I am a little rough on my hands, so the 10 day claim didn't work for me. But with that said, they are still going strong on my two toes that I applied them to!

Over all I think this is a great product if you don't have time to do your nails or are not very good at doing nail art. It might not have lasted me 10 days but that's not to say it won't for you. They retail for about $6.99 which I think is a good price overall. I will definitely be purchasing different designs.
